Abstract

Due to population growth, limited water resources, and increased demand for water, the Arab Republic of Egypt faces challenges in managing its water resources, particularly in areas with intensive agricultural production in the Nile Valley and Delta. These challenges, compounded by climate change, have led farmers to continue using primitive irrigation methods. This requires adjusting the management of available water in both new and existing lands to increase crop production, achieve food security, and achieve sustainable development. Implementing more efficient irrigation technologies is an important approach in this regard. Therefore, the importance of studying ways to rationalize water use in Egypt is evident.
